The SC Homeschooling Connection is an approved service provider for the Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF). If you’re on the scholarship, you are not supposed to be registered as a homeschooler under Option 1, 2 or 3 agencies. You are accountable directly to the SC Department of Education as an “Unbundler”, sometimes considered a 4th Option to DIY your child’s education.

Unbundler Services for ESTF Participants
I’m here to help offer services as an independent education consultant to help you plan your course of study and maintain records of your student’s progress. It looks a lot like “homeschooling” with this personalized, cafeteria-style/eclectic education plan. The weight of responsibility feels heavy and the menu of opportunities is complicated. Where’s the easy button to help you figure out what to do?
Unbundler Services:
I’m here to help go over your plan together. Figure out what resources you need so you can start off with a plan that makes sense. Then, help check up about what’s working and not working.
- Initial Consultation: 1-hour appointment $100
Let’s talk about your student’s goals and interests, your personal schedule and style. We can go over the service providers on https://www.outbridge-sc.org/ that could be good fit for you. We will also discuss some record-keeping that you can do to help evaluate what’s working and what’s not working along the way, so you can modify the learning materials and activites. - Follow-up Consultation: 30-minute appointment $50
Check in if you’re struggling along the way to figure out what else to supplement or modify in your plan. Check in if you’re going well, but anticipate some new goals to work into your plan. Adding and changing resources is part of the unbundling approach, but sometimes you just need a little extra feedback to reassure yourself about your plan. - Basic Record-Keeping Services: $100
Similar to the record-keeping verification that homeschool associations offer. Record-keeping is for you, so you can see your student is making progress. Does your plan include minimum core subjects and an equivalent of attendance days? Are you keeping a daily log of learning activities, collecting samples of their work, and assessing the progress semi-annually? It’s good practice, even if the law doesn’t say so. I will check in to remind you about it and to be sure you’re on track. Kind of like the beeping noise that reminds you to buckle up, or an alarm that you set to remind you to do certain tasks.
**Basic Plan includes a quarterly live zoom call to come, chat with others who are using the ESTF program. August/Nov/Feb/May - Report Card Preparation: $20 per report card.
If you’re transferring back to a traditional school, equal access sports, official reports for DSS/Family Court. - Transcript Assistance: $100 initial transcript/final transcript. $50 updates.
Transcripts are the forever document that will open the doors of opportunity. I can help translate your academic resume to align with the SC Uniform Grade Scale Policies. Other programs may be “accredited” and offer you a transcript/diploma–but it will most likely be considered an out-of-state school.
Note: ESTF graduates will not be eligible for SC State Scholarships (Fellows, Life, Hope), until the code of law is revised. If you have questions about this, please consider scheduling a personal consultation appointment so we can go over the student’s course of study and goals in more detail together.
Payment Procedures:
Email [email protected] to request services. We will initiate an invoice for you to submit to Class Wallet. Then, once payment has been received, we will proceed with the next steps in scheduling your appointment or forms.
